# Typemap

## Description

In user settings, the Typemap section maps Zotero item types to labels that can be used for display and formatting.

Each entry has the following elements:

* **Name** : a type from the Zotero data scheme, e.g `journalArticle`. An old nomenclature of item types is available [here](https://aurimasv.github.io/z2csl/typeMap.xml) for reference.
* **Value** : a text label for the type, e.g `Paper`.
