# Web import

The extension supports importing items to Zotero from a URL. Currently, the feature is accessed by specifying a list of tags in your user settings, then any Roam blocks which contain any of these tags and have a URL will have an icon appear next to them:

Clicking on the icon will open an import dialog ; the extension will extract all the URLs in the block and its children, attempt to retrieve metadata for those URLs, then display the results.

Select any number of items to import, and a side panel will appear - where you can choose a Zotero library and (optionally) collections and/or tags to use for the import:
