# Scite Badge

## Description

The extension will insert badges from [Scite.ai](https://scite.ai/) in menus shown on citekey pages (unless this is turned off in [Page Menus](/zotero-roam/customization/other/page-menus.md)). The appearance of these badges can be configured in several ways, directly from your user settings.

## Options

#### **Layout**

The direction of the badge (horizontal or vertical)

#### **Show labels**

If category labels should be shown

#### **Show empty categories**

If empty categories should be shown

#### **Use small styling**

If the badge should have a small appearance

#### **Tooltip Placement**

The direction of the tooltip shown on hover (auto, top, bottom, left, or right)

#### **Tooltip Offset**

The offset of the tooltip shown on hover
